life: mosaic is kind of like the game, 'six degrees to kevin bacon.' come on, you know you've played it before! someone names the name of an actor, who then has to be connected to being in a movie with kevin bacon in less than six steps. i would give you an example, but i am really terrible at the game.

anyway - our lives are kind of like broken shards of pottery, glass (whatever). the shards are all glued together by our jobs, our situations, and the places we occupy in space forming a big mosaic. if someone were to 'zoom out' of their life and look at it from a distance, they would find that they have had an impact on distant people, in distant places, even though they may not be aware of it. sure, like kevin bacon, there may be a number of degrees between them and the people they impact. but they are connected (in some way) to everyone around them.

you are connected to the world around you. you are a piece of the mosaic.

we'll take a deeper look at this on february 26th.

see you at southside.
